I was born in England and my early interest in art developed during my schooldays at Bishops Stortford College, Hertfordshire, where I was a member of the College Art Society.
Soon after leaving College I immigrated to New Zealand. Sadly I was not able to continue my interest until after I retired, but it was during my career as a Civil Engineering Draughtsman that I developed a passion for detail and perspective.
After retirement in 2008 I joined the Tauranga Society of Artists. I have benefited from the numerous talented artists we have in the Society, through their tutorials and constructive critique of my paintings. My preferred media are acrylic and watercolours, painting mainly seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes and some still life works. Recently I have ventured into abstracts, enjoying the detailed shapes and vivid colours.
